Call with concern no call back. Over charged. Said put 8 quarts oil in car doesn't hold that many.

Last minute issue discovered with my truck. The Service Team was able to squeeze me in same day and had it completed hours before my appointment was scheduled.

Steve was polite and very organized. He had already pulled the vehicle i was interested in around to the front of the building, had it washed and ready. I arrived late in the day, and he stayed late to help get everything processed and make sure i was comfortable and understood how to operate my new vehicle. Overall he made the process less stressful.

Everyone was courtesy and kept me informed about updates.

We came for an oil change. We asked them if they could look at an issue with our car. Was told they had 3 people call off sick but would check to see if they could. Evidently they couldn’t. So upon leaving there was 1 car in the garage and 4 guys standing around doing nothing but talking. No one spoke to us about our car and our receipt said need new rear tires and an alignment. I don’t know if this is a new way of doing business but it would have been nice if someone would have talked to us about it. I don’t think we will be back. Can’t make an appointment by calling and talking to anyone either. It’s just not a good way to run a business.

Based on previous experiences at other dealerships I was prepared for an unpleasant morning dealing with the process of leasing a vehicle. Meeting Ron May in the sales lot changed everything. No customer service techs don’t listen to customers. This front desk area is one of the worst for customer care. They refuse to document issues customers bring to them. What could have been taken care of in one trip turns into 3-4. Mgt foesnt deal with issues.

Technicians can not figure out problem and I was charged $352.92 for no progress!!

I brought in 2 rims to be replaced. Only one ended up needing replacement. A valve stem kit was added to my bill without my knowledge so it was removed. I got a quote on a tire pressure monitoring system. It was $700 for 3. That mark up on parts is extreme. We found OE parts for $45 each and plan to bring them in to be put on and programmed.

I would like to give 5 stars but I'm giving 4 this time because when I picked up my truck, I reviewed the inspection sheet and noticed it was noted that my rear brakes were marked "immediate attention needed". I made an appointment to have the brakes fixed but when I picked the truck up, no work was performed. The technician said the brakes were fine. This was a waste of my time and I had to arrange to get a ride there and back as well. Not sure why the brakes were noted as a problem if there weren't. I had them checked out by someone else when I got my tires changed, and they agreed the brakes were fine. I'm glad it worked out, but I'm disappointed that it was incorrectly noted.

Almost 3 hours for a simple oil change and tire rotation and it took 3 weeks to even get the appointment. Service department gave 2 different excuses during the process.

I really appreciated the professionalism by service staff and their continued effort to make sure I had what I needed and all my questions were answered quickly. I did comment that their predelivery efforts we not complete, as they sent out a vehicle without a radio antenna, but overall I was and am very pleased with the sales and service department

I had to come back because I had a tire sensor error. It had the error when I arrived at the dealership and it was not addressed. No one told me anything about my service and just printed the paper out for me to read myself. Although I am capable of doing so, it would be nice to get an overview when extensive service recommendations are made. When I called to get in to get the tire issue resolved, the manager was able to get me in quickly the next day. However, what was quoted as a 30 minute fix was a 2 hour service visit. In total we spent almost 4 hours over a two day period for a tire sensor replacement and oil change and had to drive to the dealership on 2 separate days. I was warned before buying a Chevy that the service department is a reason to not buy Chevy. I do wish that I had listened to that advice.

Took parts off and didn’t replace. Left the cover to the cabin filter on the passenger side floorboard. Drained oil all over components under the filter and didn’t clean anything up. Also rotated tires and left the center cap loose on driver side rear tire.

Took several days to get a simple diagnostic done, after I wasn't informed of the issue during my last visit, even though the tech mechanic noted the issue. Once diagnostic was done, issue was never resolved due to needing pictures for warranty claim, but I had ran out of time and had to leave town.

Was asked to bring my Camaro for the complimentary oil change since purchase it took them 3.5 hours!! I asked for a coolant flush and fill was told they did not have a qualified to do the service after hours. Uphon finishing the service was informed I would need to pay !!!! Drove 2 hours one way for this catastrophic mess!!!

Took 2 hours for an oil change

I scheduled my appointment for an oil change and told them I had a service emission system light that came on for a day and went back off. I ask if they could check on that past light too. When I went to pick it up they said I didn’t owe anything and I replied what about my oil change and they informed me they had not changed the oil. Now my message on on the main screen every time you start the truck that it need an oil change and was at 0%. I would assume even if for some reason they didn’t hear me request an oil change that they would have contacted me and ask about it considering the light is on. Also the email they send about keeping track of the progress is a joke because they never update the progress. I was literally in my truck after I got my keys back and checked the progress and it still had not been updated. This is not the first time I have had problems with Terre Haute Chevy service department. Horrible service! If Pilson was closer I would go to them every time!

Overall, the service I received from your representatives and maintenance team was great, and I appreciate the work they did. However, I do have a concern about the scheduling and planning process for my recent service. I originally made my appointment by phone on February 17th for an oil change. Near the end of the call, I remembered I also needed a fuel filter change. The receptionist told me to simply mention it when I arrived on February 21st at 1:00 PM. I wasn’t comfortable with that response because adding work at check‑in can limit your team’s ability to prepare. Because of this, I called back the next day and specifically asked a service representative to add the fuel filter change to my appointment. He confirmed it and told me everything was updated. When I arrived for my appointment, both the oil change and fuel filter were discussed again. The representative even mentioned remembering our conversation about adding the fuel filter. However, after the oil change was completed, I was told the fuel filter couldn’t be done because the part was unavailable. As a result, I had to wait for the part to come in and schedule a second appointment. I ultimately had to return yesterday afternoon to have the fuel filter replaced because I was leaving for a work trip this Thursday and my options were limited to have this service completed. Coming from a heavy maintenance industry, it is frustrating to have a job planned and scheduled only to find out at the time of service that necessary parts are not available. Additionally, having to spend time at multiple appointments for something that was supposed to be fully planned ahead adds unnecessary inconvenience. I am assuming I was given accurate information about the part being out of stock. That said, I couldn’t help but notice that I had the last appointment on Saturday and was also told the technicians leave at 2:00 PM. Given the time the service had already taken, adding the fuel filter may have pushed the work past 2:00 PM. I sincerely hope my concern about timing is misplaced, but the circumstances did raise the question. I’m sharing this feedback because of my frustration of your overall process.

It took 2-hrs for oil change and tire rotation. Inspection report showed engine filter as red meaning it needed change and no one mentioned it to me during my visit. I now have to either return to the dealership or change it myself.

It took 2 hrs and 15 minutes to complete my initial free service appt. My first time having this done at the Terre Haute dealership. I have had service appts at other dealerships and they never took this long. Usually 30-45 minutes for service appt. In order to get the extended warranty offered by this dealership, I have to have the work done at this dealership. I live about 45 minutes away, and this time ( coupled with the service time), means I will have about 4 hours tied up each time I need serviced. Not sure why the appointment took so long!

My vehicle is currently in the shop right now for the 5th day for a reason that was supposed to be fixed when they had it a week ago. There was not a loaner vehicle available. My car is still under warranty and has been in the shop more times than I can count. I am always told that the service will be a day or two. However, this never turns out to be the case. Hollie that works in service has been great to work with and so has Randy the mechanic. However, parts never seem to show up on time or workers are sick.

Employees were friendly, but service was very slow. I waited for 2 hours for a scheduled oil change and tire rotation.

I’ve purchased multiple vehicles from Terre Haute Chevrolet over the years, but after this experience, I will never buy from them again. I was given a “free lifetime warranty” with my vehicle, which was a big part of why I felt confident buying from them. However, when my transmission started having issues, they refused to honor that warranty. Their reasoning was that I didn’t have all of my oil changes done through their dealership — something that was never clearly explained as a strict requirement when the warranty was presented. It feels very misleading to advertise a “free lifetime warranty” and then deny coverage over a condition that wasn’t made clear upfront. A warranty like that should provide peace of mind, not turn into a technicality when you actually need it. As a repeat customer, this was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I trusted them and their product, and they did not stand behind it when it mattered most. If you’re considering buying here, make sure you get every single warranty detail in writing and understand all requirements — because the “free lifetime warranty” may not be what it seems. I won’t be doing business with them again.
